Grange Academy is a Special School for learners aged between 5 and 18 with a range of needs including moderate learning difficulties and autism. We are part of a local multi academy trust of special schools - Bedford Inclusive Learning and Training Trust (BILTT).

Some of the aims of our school are to develop lifelong learning, widen aspirations, empower families, maximise independence, nurture values of respect and friendship and extend creativity.

We are looking to appoint a resilient, talented and inspirational teacher who:

  • Ensures learners make at least good progress and often outstanding progress over time;
  • Has experience of teaching students with SEND, ASC or is willing to learn;
  • Is creative in the ways they work with young people, and enjoys finding personalised solutions to learning needs;
  • Is looking for a school which actively promotes well-being and a work-life balance

  • Is flexible, reliable, resilient and positive;

Grange Academy is a community special academy for pupils aged 5-18 with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including moderate learning difficulties and autism. The school is part of a local Multi Academy Trust of special schools, BILTT. We are looking to appoint highly motivated male or female LSAs who:

  • will enable learners to make at least good progress and develop well
  • have knowledge of autism, behaviour and SEND needs
  • work effectively as part of a team to improve learners’ conduct behaviour and attitudes to learning
  • are able to build effective relationships with pupils, staff, families and other professionals
  • are flexible, reliable, resilient and positive
  • are passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children
  • have strong literacy and numeracy skills and are clear communicators
  • have an ability to work as part of a dedicated team
  • have effective organisational skills and a positive outlook
