HIVE (SEMH Primary Provision)

Social Emotional and Mental Health Provision

The HIVE SEMH Provision provides inclusive learning experiences consistent with the age, abilities and developmental stage of each pupil. We are committed to ensuring that all pupils receive an education that enables them to thrive as successful learners and members of our community.

The Thrive Approach is embedded as a whole-school approach to support the social and emotional development of all pupils. The HIVE team has a passionate belief that positive relationships developed through creativity and play are key to the success of our pupils.

Admissions

The HIVE is a specialist provision for pupils aged 5-10 years with identified SEMH needs and a range of ability levels and additional learning needs.

Due to the complex nature of pupils’ needs, we consider referrals to the school in light of the specific needs of the individual pupil.

All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) maintained by Bedford Borough SEND Team, with SEMH as the primary need. Admissions are managed by the Bedford Borough SEND Team with application requests considered at a SEND review panel before a consultation period can begin.
